Two Ennobling Outcomes of a Single Session:

  • Identify how shame is sabotaging one of your goals or desires (e.g., a closer relationship, overcoming a destructive habit, unblocking creative endeavors, replacing a hurtful manner of relating, etc.).

  • Design a personalized plan for how to develop shame resilience in that area.

If you desire to disempower shame in every area of your life, you will benefit from a package.

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process
is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.
— Brené Brown
‘Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me.
Get away with me and you’ll recover your life.
I’ll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.’
— Jesus Christ (Matt 11:28-30 MSG)

Nine Ennobling Outcomes of Doing the Package:

  • Ennobled to Choose: In each interaction that usually provokes a shame response, you will increase the times when you respond out of your best self.

  • Ennobled to Love: A shame-bound heart will not be trusting or transparent enough to foster intimate or other-serving love. As you replace shame with belovedness in Christ, you enflame the empathy, compassion, courage, and vulnerability required for daring, self-giving, fierce love.

  • Ennobled to be Authentic: Wearing many masks is exhausting. When you live as your authentic self, you will know that others enjoy and love the real you with all your flaws and fabulousness.

  • Ennobled to Create: Shame impedes creativity, as to create is to bare our souls to the response of others. As you develop shame resilience, your creativity will blossom.

  • Ennobled to Dream: When your self-worth is no longer based on achievement or the opinion of others but grounded in an unshakable identity in Christ, you will be emboldened to pursue dreams despite the risks.

  • Ennobled to Achieve: Shame is the fuel of self-sabotage, which is a major destroyer of personal goals. As you slay shame, you will discover revived motivation to persevere in every life goal.

  • Ennobled to Virtue: Shame resilience for a person indwelt by the Holy Spirit engages all the practices that activate the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control.

  • Ennobled to Grieve: Because our false self has developed partly in response to losses, you will have practices that help you grieve.

  • Ennobled to Forgive: Because you and others will still respond out of shame, you will have the capacity to forgive others and yourself.
